We are located in Youngstown in Northeast Ohio, which is halfway between Chicago and New York City, and an hour drive to Cleveland or Pittsburgh. Youngstown is located at the center of the Mahoning Valley, which was once called the Steel Valley and was the largest steel producing region in the world due to its proximity to Lake Erie ports. The Mahoning River flows through the heart of the Mahoning Valley and once contained a 25-mile long stretch of steel mills. Although the steel mills are long gone, people of Youngstown are resilient and thriving. Youngstown State University is contributing to that endeavor by producing quality graduates, and being involved and engaged in the community.
